FULL DESCRIPTION: We are looking for detail-oriented individuals to support our AI/ML initiatives in ophthalmology. As a Data Labeler, you will work closely with our Research and Development teams to annotate eye imaging data, with a particular focus on pseudophakic eyes (eyes with intraocular lens implants). This is an excellent opportunity for graduating students or recent graduates interested in healthcare, computer vision, or biomedical engineering.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Accurately label ophthalmic images (e.g. images of the eye) based on detailed guidelines.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure consistency and accuracy across datasets.
- Organizing and managing datasets used for training and evaluation
- Execute predefined test suites to validate models performance
- Collaborate with experts and ML engineers to refine annotation protocols.
- Provide feedback on labeling tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Creating and updating documentation
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Great attention to detail
- Proficiency with using computers and common productivity software such as Microsoft Office (or similar tools)
- Willingness to become familiar with ophthalmic anatomy, terminology, and other specialized subject matters as needed
- Able to clearly communicate questions, feedback, and observations to team members and supervisors
- Capable of managing tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain focus during repetitive or detail-oriented work
- Open to learning new tools, workflows, and domains, and able to quickly adapt to evolving project requirements
Salary Range: $23-25/hour
